Our Software Journey

Nextiny’s software journey started off as a mixed bag of sorts. Before we kicked-off our partnership with HubSpot, we used many different software for our websites such as WordPress, MailChimp, Google Analytics, and more. Adopting HubSpot was the first step in our journey towards a more streamlined and integrated marketing technology stack.

We love the HubSpot Platform because it provides us with so much utility for a variety of different things like tracking your lead activity, a CMS for building and managing your website pages, easy to use social promotion and monitoring tools, a SEO tool for creating and organizing content, and a full stack of other features to assist you in your marketing, sales, and service activities.

One of the biggest benefits of HubSpot is its commitment to being a platform for other technologies and software. This opportunity allows HubSpot users to elevate their marketing and sales activities while continuing to lean on the core value that the HubSpot software provides. How do you get started implementing new software? For many marketers, adding more technology can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ve developed a process for evaluating software that gets us excited about pursuing these new opportunities.

How we Choose New Software

Over time we’ve chiseled our process for choosing new software into a few easy steps:

  1. Does it integrate with the HubSpot Platform (or whichever platform you use): For us, the software must be able to integrate with HubSpot because that’s the center of everything that we do. It may not be HubSpot for you or your business, but the idea stays the same. Make sure whatever software you’re considering is able to work with what you’re already using.
  2. Does it add value: Take a long hard look at that software sitting in front of you. Analyze its features, weigh its pros and cons, and then decide if it adds value to your current marketing or sales processes. Decide if it’s worth dedicating your time and money that it takes to learn and use that software, does it add value to your customers and improve their experience?
  3. 3 Ways it can help you generate more success: The last thing we use to evaluate software is to find three ways it can help us improve ourselves. If you can’t think of three, or any, then odds are that software doesn’t provide the value you need and won’t help you.
